The fungicidal action of BLOCKADE 40 SC, is by the inhibition of succinate dehydrogenase (complex II) within the fungal mitochondrial respiratory chain, thus blocking electron transport. Fluopyram inhibits spore germination, germ tube elongation, mycelium growth and sporulation. Within plants, fluopyram shows translaminar activity and some movement within xylem.
